Magnetic pulses after clot removal: a new hope for stroke patients?

NCT ID NCT06064747

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding low-frequency magnetic brain stimulation (rTMS) to standard clot-removal treatment helps people recover better after a severe stroke. Sixty adults with large-vessel blockage in the front part of the brain were enrolled within 24 hours of symptoms. The goal was to see if rTMS could reduce brain damage and disability, but the treatment is meant to control disease effects, not cure the underlying condition.
