First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a mouthwash made from resveratrol, a natural compound found in grapes, to see if it can prevent dental plaque buildup. Twenty healthy adults will use the resveratrol mouthwash, a standard chlorhexidine mouthwash, or a placebo for 24 hours without brushing. The goal is to find a gentler alternative to chlorhexidine, which can cause side effects like staining.
