First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a type of strength training called compound resistance training helps adults aged 65 and older do everyday tasks more easily and feel better mentally. Six community-dwelling seniors took part, and researchers measured their ability to perform daily activities, satisfaction with their performance, and mental health using questionnaires. The goal was to see if this exercise approach could improve quality of life.
