Bringing COPD rehab home: a lifeline for those left behind

NCT ID NCT05664945

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at two new types of pulmonary rehabilitation for people with COPD who cannot go to a hospital or clinic for the usual program. One option is telerehabilitation (using video calls and apps) and the other is a home-based program with nurse visits. The goal is to see if these options are better than standard care (just medication and check-ups) at reducing symptoms like breathlessness and improving daily life. About 180 adults with moderate to very severe COPD will take part.
