Phone app could ease daily clinic visits for opioid addiction treatment
NCT ID NCT06338280
Summary
This study is testing a smartphone app designed to help people with severe opioid addiction stay on their methadone treatment. The app allows for remote video check-ins for daily doses instead of requiring in-person clinic visits. Researchers want to see if using this app helps people stay in treatment longer, reduces cravings and drug use, and lowers overall healthcare costs compared to the usual take-home medication process.
