No-Drill cavity fight: new gels may reverse Kids' tooth decay
NCT ID NCT07431463
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether non-invasive treatments like silver diamine fluoride, a self-assembling peptide, or fluoride varnish can stop or reverse early cavities in children's baby teeth. About 90 kids aged 4-10 with early, non-cavity lesions will receive one of these treatments. The goal is to see if the cavity gets better, stays the same, or worsens, and whether the treatment causes tooth discoloration.
