First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a new sedative called remimazolam in 200 elderly or very ill patients (age 65+, serious health conditions) undergoing medical procedures like endoscopy. The goal is to see if it provides safer sedation with fewer drops in blood pressure or breathing problems compared to standard sedatives. The drug is designed to work quickly and wear off fast, which may be especially helpful for high-risk patients.
