First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a drug called remazolam besylate is as good as or better than another sedative (dexmedetomidine) for keeping critically ill patients calm and comfortable while they are on a breathing machine after non-cardiac surgery. About 306 adults aged 18-64 who need light to moderate sedation in the ICU will take part. The main goal is to see how many days patients can be free from the breathing machine within 28 days.
