First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a structured rehabilitation program can delay or reduce the chance of spine degeneration near the surgery site in frail adults aged 75 and older. About 212 participants will be randomly assigned to either the rehab program or standard care and followed for two years. The goal is to see if the program helps maintain spine health and reduces complications after short-segment lumbar fusion surgery.
