New rehab approach after ACL surgery: lighter weights, bigger gains?
NCT ID NCT07043569
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests a rehabilitation method called blood flow restriction (BFR) training for people who have had ACL reconstruction surgery. BFR training uses light weights while a cuff partially restricts blood flow to the leg, which may help rebuild muscle and strength. The study will enroll 30 participants to see if adding BFR training to standard rehab improves muscle mass, strength, and knee function better than standard rehab alone.
