New dental procedure aims to save Kids' damaged teeth and help them grow
NCT ID NCT07355686
Summary
This study tested two different methods to treat infected, immature permanent teeth in children aged 8-15. The goal was to heal the infection around the root tip and encourage the tooth's root to continue growing in length and width. Researchers compared a technique using the patient's own blood clot against one using a concentrated platelet gel, to see which was more successful.
