First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This project works with doctors and clinics to reduce unnecessary antibiotic use in children with common respiratory infections like ear infections, strep throat, sinusitis, and pneumonia. The goal is to prescribe antibiotics only when needed, using the right type and shortest effective course. About 420 children aged 6 months to 12 years will be included, and researchers will track whether this approach safely reduces antibiotic use without increasing treatment failures.
