New combo therapy shows promise for rectal cancer patients

Summary
This study tests a treatment plan for people with stage II or III rectal cancer. Participants receive short-course radiation followed by chemotherapy before any surgery. The goal is to see how many patients have their cancer completely disappear. The study is currently recruiting 42 adults in Taiwan.
