Hidden awareness after stroke: can brain waves predict recovery?

NCT ID NCT03990558

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at people who have had a brain bleed (intracerebral hemorrhage) and are not responding to commands. Researchers use EEG to check for hidden brain activity when asked to imagine moving. The goal is to see if this hidden awareness helps predict who will recover and how well they will function months later. About 150 adults will take part.
