First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study will follow 750 adults in France who are having a procedure called endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) to remove early-stage esophageal cancer or precancerous Barrett's esophagus. The goal is to see how often the cancer comes back, how well the procedure removes the tumor completely, and what factors predict success or complications. Researchers hope the results will help doctors make better treatment decisions in everyday practice.
