Brain scans reveal how TMS rewires depression
NCT ID NCT07420322
First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study is for people with depression who are getting a treatment called TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), which uses magnetic pulses to stimulate the brain. Researchers will use MRI brain scans before, during, and after 20 TMS sessions to see how the brain changes and whether those changes can predict who gets better. The goal is to find early signs that show if the treatment is working and to understand why some people improve more than others.
