Game on for knee pain: study tests rewards and coaching to keep patients moving

Summary
This study tests two approaches to help people with knee osteoarthritis keep up with physical therapy exercises at home. One uses a smartphone app with game-like rewards and social support, and the other adds a health coach. The goal is to see if these methods improve long-term pain, function, and daily activity. About 254 veterans will take part and be followed for two years.
