10-Minute syphilis test could transform family planning visits
NCT ID NCT07358949
First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether offering a quick syphilis test during family planning visits (for birth control or abortion) works well for patients. About 70 people in Hawai'i will get a fingerstick test with results in 10-15 minutes, instead of waiting days. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and to allow same-day treatment if needed.
