Summary

This study tested whether adding a light-activated drug treatment (photodynamic therapy) to the standard injection therapy (ranibizumab) could reduce the number of injections needed for wet macular degeneration. 60 participants aged 50 and older with the condition were enrolled. The goal was to maintain vision while lowering the risks and burden of frequent eye injections.
