Researchers track where Radium-223 goes in bones of prostate cancer patients

NCT ID NCT04521361

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at how the drug radium-223 moves through bones in men whose prostate cancer has spread to the bone. About 60 men with at least 18 years of age took part, split into two groups based on how many bone tumors they had. They received up to 6 injections of radium-223, and scans were used to see where the drug went. The goal was to learn more about the drug's distribution, not to treat the cancer.
