Precision radiation tested for Hard-to-Treat brain tumors
NCT ID NCT06826170
Summary
This study tested a specialized, 5-session radiation treatment for people with recurrent or leftover non-secreting pituitary adenomas (a type of benign brain tumor). The main goal was to check the safety of this approach, particularly its effects on vision and hormone function, while also seeing if it could control tumor growth. Twenty-five patients received the treatment and were followed closely for several years to monitor outcomes and quality of life.
