First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a new way of giving radiation therapy (called hypofractionated radiotherapy with a stereotactic boost) along with standard chemotherapy for people with stage II or III non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal was to find the highest safe dose of radiation that can be given in fewer sessions. The approach aims to kill more cancer cells while protecting healthy tissue. The study involved 29 participants and looked at tumor control and survival.
