Radiation blitz before chemo: new hope for fighting spreading lung cancer?

NCT ID NCT05440916

Summary

This study tested if adding radiation treatment to multiple tumor sites before starting standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy helps people with advanced lung cancer live longer without their cancer getting worse. It involved 50 patients whose cancer had spread and who were eligible for first-line drug treatment. Their results were compared to historical data from patients who received only the standard drug therapy.
