First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether using the wrist (radial artery) instead of the groin (femoral artery) for a second catheter during TAVI heart valve replacement reduces bleeding and other complications. About 434 adults scheduled for TAVI will be randomly assigned to one of the two approaches. The goal is to find the safer option for this common procedure.
