First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This completed Phase 3 trial tested a new rabies vaccine given on different schedules after a potential rabies exposure. Over 2,000 healthy volunteers aged 10-60 took part. The goal was to see if fewer doses could still protect against rabies while being safe. Results will help determine if a simpler vaccination plan can be used.
