Scientists probe genetic link to crippling arthritis
NCT ID NCT06494813
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a specific gene, called matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), is involved in rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers compared 60 people with active rheumatoid arthritis to a group of healthy individuals. The goal was to see if differences in this gene could help explain why the disease causes joint damage and inflammation.
