First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving less therapeutic food and requiring fewer clinic visits can still effectively treat severe acute malnutrition in children aged 6 to 59 months in Kenya. About 2,274 children will take part across 45 health facilities. The goal is to find a treatment plan that works well, costs less, and is easier for families to follow.
