First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding quercetin or alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) to standard metformin therapy can improve hormone levels, blood sugar, and cholesterol in women with PCOS. About 150 women aged 18-40 will be randomly assigned to one of three groups for 3 months. The goal is to see if these supplements offer extra benefits beyond metformin alone.
