First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a newer type of nerve block, called the Quadro-Iliac Plane (QIP) block, helps people recover better after hip replacement surgery. About 80 adults will receive one of several standard pain-blocking techniques, chosen by their doctor. Researchers will track pain levels, how quickly patients can move, and overall recovery quality for up to 48 hours after surgery.
