New drug combo aims to shrink lung tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT07452003

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a new immunotherapy drug (QL1706) along with standard chemotherapy before surgery can help shrink tumors in people with a certain type of lung cancer (non-small cell lung cancer). About 30 adults with stage IIB to IIIB lung cancer will receive the drug combo for three cycles, then have surgery if possible. The main goal is to see how many patients have very little or no cancer left in the removed tissue.
