First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a gentle qigong practice called Eight-Section Brocades can improve mood and thinking in people aged 65 and older with depression. Sixty participants will be randomly assigned to either qigong or regular exercise. Researchers will measure changes in brain activity using a non-invasive headband to understand how qigong might help.
