Vitamin B6 tested to protect Diabetics' eyes and kidneys
NCT ID NCT06376240
Summary
This study is testing whether a supplement called pyridoxamine, a form of vitamin B6, can improve the health of small blood vessels in people with type 2 diabetes. Forty participants with existing diabetes-related eye, kidney, or nerve issues will take either pyridoxamine or a placebo for 8-week periods. Researchers will measure if the supplement improves blood vessel function in the eyes, skin, and kidneys to potentially help control diabetes complications.
