New scan may spot hidden prostate cancer spread early

NCT ID NCT06074510

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special PET scan called PYLARIFY can safely and accurately find prostate cancer that has spread outside the prostate gland in men with a certain type of prostate cancer (favorable intermediate risk). About 274 men will get one dose of the scan drug and then have a full-body PET scan. If the scan shows possible cancer spread, doctors may do more tests or recommend treatment. Participants are followed for up to 12 months to track their care and PSA levels.
