New vaccine aims to clear HPV and reverse cervical precancer
NCT ID NCT07454915
Summary
This study is testing whether an experimental DNA vaccine called PVX4 can help the body clear HPV type 16 infection and reverse high-grade cervical precancerous lesions (CIN2/3). The vaccine is delivered via a special injection device that uses mild electrical pulses. Researchers will compare results in about 138 women receiving the vaccine versus a placebo to see if it leads to clearance of the virus and regression of cervical lesions within 6 months.
