NCT ID NCT03152747
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study followed 609 nearsighted adults for up to 5 years after lens surgery to see if a natural eye change called posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) affects the risk of retinal detachment. Participants had eye exams and phone interviews to track PVD and any retinal tears. The goal is to help doctors predict and prevent retinal detachment in nearsighted patients.
