Eye test could predict dangerous breathing side effects in kids after surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether a quick, non-invasive eye test (pupillometry) can help identify children at risk for serious breathing problems caused by opioid pain medicine after tonsillectomy. About 300 children will have their pupils measured before, during, and after surgery. The results will not change their care but will help researchers develop better ways to predict and prevent these dangerous complications.
