Videos in the waiting room: a new way to help families understand heart conditions

NCT ID NCT07594041

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether showing short educational videos to families in a pediatric cardiology clinic helps them better understand their child's heart condition and makes visits run more smoothly. About 300 children and their caregivers will take part. The videos cover common topics like chest pain or heart murmurs and are shown before the doctor arrives. Researchers will compare clinic visits with and without the videos to see if they improve learning, satisfaction, and efficiency.
