Scientists put pulse oximeters to the test in Low-Oxygen conditions
NCT ID NCT05745675
Summary
This study tested how accurately pulse oximeters measure blood oxygen levels and heart rate. Researchers compared readings from finger-clip devices to blood samples and heart monitors in 11 healthy adults. Participants breathed controlled low-oxygen air while at rest to see how well the devices performed under these conditions.
