New study tests better ways to save kids' teeth from deep decay

NCT ID NCT07333872

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at three different dental treatments for deep cavities in children's baby molars. The goal is to see which method works best to relieve pain and keep the tooth healthy. About 96 children aged 4 to 7 with reversible pulpitis (a type of tooth nerve inflammation) will receive one of the treatments using a material called MTA. The study is not testing a cure, but rather which technique controls the disease best.
