Dentists test two ways to save teeth with deep cavities

NCT ID NCT07300124

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study compares two dental treatments for teeth with deep cavities and reversible pulpitis (early nerve inflammation). One treatment caps the exposed nerve directly, while the other removes a small part of the nerve before capping. The study will include 138 people aged 15-40 and follow them for one year to see which approach has a higher success rate and causes less pain.
