Can talk therapy protect your heart? PTSD study investigates
NCT ID NCT06429293
Summary
This small pilot study is investigating whether a standard PTSD therapy might also help reduce the risk of heart disease. Researchers will compare 30 people with PTSD and heart risk factors who receive therapy to those on a waitlist. The goal is to understand if therapy changes brain activity, inflammation, and heart function in ways that could lower heart disease risk.
