First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at 100 people with jaundice from pancreatic or bile duct tumors who need a complex surgery called pancreaticoduodenectomy. Before surgery, they get a tube to drain bile. The question is: should doctors remove that tube during surgery or leave it in? The study will track complications like bile leaks and infections to see which approach is safer and helps patients recover faster.
