New hope for rare thymus cancers: drug PT-112 under trial

Summary

This study tests a drug called PT-112 in people with thymoma or thymic carcinoma that has come back or worsened after standard treatment. The drug aims to shrink tumors by killing cancer cells and boosting the immune system. About 53 adults will receive PT-112 infusions every few weeks, and researchers will monitor tumor size and side effects for up to 8 years.
