Summary
This study tested a 6-session psychoeducation program for 60 adults receiving electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for mental health conditions. The program aimed to reduce internalized stigma (negative feelings about oneself) and anxiety. Participants were compared to a group receiving standard care. The goal was to see if extra education and support could improve emotional well-being during ECT treatment.
