Yale tests 'Magic Mushroom' microdoses on brain and mood

NCT ID NCT07449351

Summary

This small pilot study aims to understand how taking very small, non-psychedelic doses of psilocybin (from 'magic mushrooms') over 30 days affects mood, thinking skills, and brain activity. Researchers will compare 20 healthy adults who have never used psychedelics, giving some the microdose and others a placebo. The goal is to gather basic knowledge to see if this approach could someday help people with conditions like depression.
