Should older men get PSA tests? massive study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT07206693
Summary
This study looked at whether PSA blood tests for prostate cancer screening help men aged 75-79 live longer. Researchers analyzed health records from over 250,000 Swedish men to compare those who had screening with those who didn't. The goal was to see if current screening guidelines should be extended to this older age group while considering the risks of overdiagnosis.
