Blood-Based injections tested as surgery alternative for female bladder leaks

NCT ID NCT07366762

Summary

This study compared two types of injections made from a patient's own blood platelets to treat stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in women. It focused on women who were not good candidates for surgery, had surgery fail previously, or refused surgery. The goal was to see which injection was more effective at reducing leakage and how long the effects lasted before a repeat injection might be needed.
