NCT ID NCT04967170
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether a treatment made from a patient's own blood, called platelet-rich plasma (PRP), is safe and can help relieve symptoms of vulvar lichen sclerosus, a chronic skin condition causing itching and pain. Thirty women will receive either PRP or a placebo injection, and researchers will track side effects and symptom changes using a patient questionnaire. The goal is to see if this natural approach can ease discomfort without long-term medication.
