First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tracks 130 adults who have had their voice box removed (total laryngectomy) to see how often they use a ProvoxLife heat-moisture exchanger (HME), a device that warms and moistens air as they breathe through a hole in their neck. Researchers want to learn what personal or medical factors affect how regularly patients use the device. The goal is to help doctors better support patients in using the HME for lung health.
