Blood protein test could speed up diagnosis of rare lung disease
NCT ID NCT05340023
First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study aims to find specific protein patterns in the blood that can help doctors diagnose chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), a rare but serious lung condition. Researchers will analyze blood samples from 120 people who are already undergoing standard tests for suspected CTEPH. The goal is to see if a simple blood test can reliably identify who has the disease, potentially making diagnosis faster and less invasive.
